Atwell International Ltd is proud to reaffirm its commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, recognising the value that Serving Personnel, Reservists, Veterans and military families contribute to our business, our community and the United Kingdom.
Originally signed on 14 April 2014, the Covenant is an enduring promise that those who serve or have served are treated with fairness, respect and understanding. Atwell International remains firmly committed to ensuring that no member of the Armed Forces Community faces disadvantage when accessing commercial services or employment opportunities.
Our Commitment
As part of our pledge to the Armed Forces Covenant, Atwell International supports:
· UK Service Veterans and Leavers – recognising transferable skills, offering fair opportunities and providing a supportive onboarding process.
· UK Service Spouses and Partners – understanding the challenges of service life and providing workplace flexibility where needed.
· Flexible Leave for Service Families – enabling employees to manage deployment, homecoming and essential welfare commitments.
· UK Reservists – offering flexibility for training, mobilisation and operational duties.
· Armed Forces Day and Reserve Forces Day – publicly recognising and celebrating the Armed Forces Community each year.
These commitments reflect our belief in fairness and respect, while supporting personal wellbeing and career development for those connected to the Armed Forces.
Why the Armed Forces Covenant matters to Atwell International
The Armed Forces Covenant is not just a policy – it aligns closely with the values that guide Atwell International. We recognise the skills, discipline and experience that the Armed Forces Community brings to the workplace, and we remain committed to supporting them throughout their careers and beyond.
This dedication is strengthened by Atwell’s own connection to military heritage. Our Managing Director, Russ Walker, comes from a family with deep military roots and he himself served 12 years in the Royal Air Force. This personal connection reinforces the company’s understanding of the challenges and sacrifices faced by serving personnel and their families, and drives Atwell’s ongoing support.
Atwell’s commitment extends beyond the workplace. Our support for military heritage, remembrance and charitable causes is reflected in initiatives such as the recent G2G Cycle Challenge, which honoured the legacy of the Worcestershire Regiment while raising vital funds for charity. This spirit of respect, community support and remembrance is deeply embedded in the values of Atwell International and reflects our broader dedication to those who serve.
Continuing our pledge
As Atwell International continues to grow, our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant remains as strong as ever. We will continue to uphold its principles, support the Armed Forces Community and recognise the contributions they make to our industry and our country.
We welcome feedback from the Service community, customers and partners as we continue to uphold our commitments and explore new ways to support those who serve.
