About Atwell International

Atwell International is a UK company, specialising in the supply of VG Safety Products™ and associated lift components. Incorporated in March 1996, Atwell International has spent over 25 years establishing very strong connections with quality local manufacturers. This has resulted in an exceptional range of in-house designed elevator safety products.

The company has progressed to offer an extensive range of lift products available from its purpose built facilities in Worcester.

Russell Walker became Managing Director in 2010, steering the company toward becoming the preferred supplier for Unintended Movement Protection solutions.

December 2013 saw the company move to a larger office on the same business park in Hallow, Worcester. The office now occupies 10,505 square feet of floor space. The ground floor houses our Store, Production and Demonstration areas. We also have a dedicated area for Research and Development of VG products. The upper floor contains our office and conference room.

Services

Atwell International Ltd has earned a strong reputation by providing competitively priced components. All products comply with the latest lift regulations regarding conformity and calculations.

We offer complete traction and groove pressure calculations for lift machines, including gearless machines. These calculations include groove profile information, rope pressure on the grooves, and the maximum recommended pressure. Additionally, we provide an estimated lifespan in hours of the machine based on BS721 standards.

Our comprehensive calculations also determine the beam deflections and point loadings for each bedplate we design and commission for manufacture. Our traction calculations assesses the pressure exerted on the ropes. We also calculate the slide distance of the lift car once the braking elements has engaged.

We also conduct site surveys to assess equipment suitability and take accurate measurements when required.
