Atwell International are proud to have supported many charities over the last 20 years.
On 14 of July 2018 our sales manager Sarah Hagan took part to Walk the Night 2018 through
London in support of people affected by breast and prostate cancers, the two biggest cancer killers.
She walked a full marathon which consisted of 26 miles taking in the sights of London at night.
There were some very dodgy moustaches (and lots of scratching from the girls growing the moustaches – they weren’t happy, bless ’em!) for Movember in 2012 raising money for prostate and testicular cancer charities. 2012 also saw Mike jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane from 12,000 feet, sponsored by Atwell, in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
Our Snowdon Challenge in 2016 for St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester is the largest event we have done to date. The challenge involved 40 people hiking up Snowdon, then cycling around Snowdon before kayaking on a lake at the foot of the mountain – some of us (looking at Mike here) have still not recovered!
There has also been a Super Hero fun-run challenge, again for St Richard’s Hospice, in which Russ and Matt ran around an obstacle course on the hottest day of 2017.
One thing is for sure – there will almost certainly be more sponsored stupidity from the Atwell team over the next 20 years too.
In the meantime, we have now decided to make a monthly charitable donation to a cause put forward by a member of our team. A percentage of all VG safety product sales for a given month will be given to the nominated charity for that month! So, every time you buy a VG safety product, you can rest assured that not only are you getting the best lift safety equipment on the market, but you are also making a difference to charities throughout the country!
